The Fox Cities P.A.C. is a premier venue for performing arts in the heart of Downtown Appleton. In addition to hosting Broadway shows and concerts, it also serves as a multicultural gathering place for the community, offering a wide variety of educational programs and speaker series. The P.A.C. delivers on a strong commitment to accessible performances for all and provides a large list of accommodations for audience members who need accessibility services. Fun fact: the P.A.C. is home to the most WI Broadway premiers, meaning when a Broadway show debuts in Wisconsin for the first time, they choose the P.A.C. before any other venue in the state!
Attic Chamber Theatre is one of the oldest state theatres in Wisconsin. It was founded in 1950 in the attic of the Cloak family home on North Union Street in Appleton. Beginning as an acting class, Attic is now a beloved community theatre that has grown to produce hundreds of full-scale shows. Skyline Comedy Club brings nationally touring, A-list stand-up comedians to the Fox Cities every week. Hailing from Netflix, Comedy Central, E! Network, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and more, this top notch talent is guaranteed to make you laugh. Located on the third floor of the historic "Between the Locks" building in Appleton, you can grab dinner or drinks at Stone Arch Brewpub below and head up to Skyline after for a night of fun.
Gibson Community Music Hall is located in the historic Gibson building in the heart of downtown Appleton. In 1929, after a fire destroyed a tire store on the property, the building was reborn as an automobile dealership and rebuilt in 1931 using classic “Machine Age” Art Deco style, as is still seen today. A top-notch live music venue, Gibson is known for showcasing original music artists representing a variety of musical genres. Are you a fan of Mile of Music? Located on the beautiful Lawrence University campus and built in 1919, the 1,184-seat Lawrence Memorial Chapel is used for public events such as the Lawrence Artist and Jazz series, ensemble concerts, and the university convocation series. The chapel features a magnificent 41-stop mechanical-action organ built by John Brombaugh of Eugene, Oregon.
FVSO is a regional professional orchestra that has been celebrating music since 1966. The orchestra showcases talented musicians from around the region and frequently features world-class guest artists. Their home venue is the Fox Cities P.A.C. and one of FVSO’s most popular concerts each year is titled Brats, Beer, & Beethoven – a collaboration between FVSO and the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in which the orchestra performs on the field.
Riverside Players provides a unique and entertaining outdoor theater experience at Riverside Park in Neenah. Now in their 67th year, productions each year include a five-night run of a play in late June and a nine-night run of a musical in late July or early August. All shows are at 7:30 pm and you can explore downtown Neenah just a few blocks from the park prior to the performances.
