$140 million in relief funding is heading to the tourism industry

$140 million in relief funding will soon go to businesses in Wisconsin's tourism, travel and entertainment industries, which were especially hit hard during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Help is on the way through funding secured under the American Rescue Plan Act. The announcement came during a radio address by Governor Tony Evers on Thursday.
“Some of these venues, specifically live music venues that have big events, this is really meaningful. These grants will go a long way towards helping them in reopening,” said Pam Seidl, executive director of the Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau.
