Appleton Ranks Among Best Places for Retirees to Live and Work
A recent ranking from SmartAsset places Appleton in the top 25 best places in the U.S. for retirees to live and work.
To determine the ranking, SmartAsset analyzed 525 cities across the country, all with populations of 65,000 or more, and metrics and other factors, including percentage of population 65+, unemployment rate for seniors, housing costs as a percentage of average retirement income, estimated senior tax burden, retirement communities per 10,000 residents, medical centers per 10,000 residents, violent crime rate, and property crime rate.
This ranking follows other recent accolades and high quality of life rankings for Appleton and other Fox Cities communities.
